Ya’ll, this is my BABY brother who just got married!! I have so many emotions about this! But all so good! Kevin found his perfect match, and she just so happens to be gorgeous (inside and out!) AND one of my best friends on the planet! My heart could just about burst with joy for these two! I have three brothers, and with this marriage, it completes the circle of all four of us Oliver kids finding their perfect match! I am blessed beyond measure to call each of them my best friends and siblings!
This was such a joyful, beautiful celebration of the marriage of two people that could not be more perfect for each other! Jessa and Kevin dated for 5 years prior to this wedding, and we all felt the joy and affirmation on that day, that this was a blessed and glorious union! We have watched them grow into such an amazing couple, with an unmatched level of creativity, joy, kindness, and sense of adventure. There is no telling what all is in store for these two!
The wedding itself was a dream! I think it all turned out exactly had Jessa had envisioned it, with a huge thanks to her parents, and Teresa, Mark, Michelle, Chef Julio and the whole staff at Spoon River Artworks and Market!
And I could go on for days about how perfect Spoon River was for the occasion! The food was out-of-this-world, and the decor was so artfully done! The natural light pouring in the windows was a must-have for their indoor winter wedding, and it did not disappoint!
The wedding was mid-day, so brunch was served, and it was absolutely delicious! The presentation was so special too! Check out the photo of the bride and groom’s shrimp and grits platter below — southern soul food at it’s prettiest!
I had the privilege of being their photographer, and bridesmaid. It was such a fun an exciting day, and I feel so honored to have been asked to do both! I could NOT have done it without the huge help of Darren Murph and Alice Oliver — we tagged team with the cameras that day, and got it all documented. So thankful for them!
Jessa’s Dad, Dr. Danny of River City Christian Center, and my eldest brother, Brian of Harvest Church, did such a beautiful job on the ceremony. It was moving and inspiring, and exactly what a wedding ceremony should be.Kevin and Jessa chose to do a small, intimate wedding, to keep things simpler. I always love the atmosphere of smaller weddings!
I’ll let the pictures do the talking now. But again, thank you to all who made their wedding day so perfect! And huge congrats and many blessings to Jessa and Kevin!
BIG THANKS to:
My amazing tag-team of photographers: Alice and Darren helped me SO much while I was being a bridesmaid, haha, they are so wonderful!
