“Lilly Faith Everett has passed gently into the loving arms of Jesus. She was born silent into this world on April 26th, 2017, but made a loud and joyful noise when she entered through heaven’s gates. She was diagnosed before birth with Trisomy 18. Lilly is the daughter of Rumley and Crystal Everett and the little sister of Brailey. She is a true miracle in that she fought very hard to remain here on Earth with us. She has opened the eyes of many to how precious life is and where our focus should be.”
These words from precious Lilly’s obituary sit heavy on my heart, yet ring so true. She is truly an angel, and her and her family have inspired and given new life to so many in our community. Though hearts are heavy, there is still a peace knowing she is in the arms of Jesus. She has given many people a new and heaven-minded perspective, and has reminded us to live grateful and to live a life of love.
It was Jesus’ desire that heaven come to earth, and sweet Lilly Faith has surely brought a piece of heaven to earth.
Death is not my end
I know Heaven waits for me
Though the road seems long
I’ll never walk alone
And I got all I need to sing
I know You found me
I know You saved me
And Your grace will never fail me
I’m not waiting
I know Heaven lives in me ” – Hillsong Worship, As It Is In Heaven
Her parents and big sister are as special and precious as they come. They are strong and have such a beautiful faith, yet this is still such a difficult time. Please keep this dear family in your thoughts and prayers.
It was an honor to capture these memories for them. And huge thanks to the sweet and talented Brandy Lee Jefferson and Mary Carolyn Walker for doing Crystal’s hair and makeup. And Crystal sweet Mom, Debra for helping us with the session as well.
“Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered—how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath….And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.” (Psalm 39:4-5, 7)
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” (Isaiah 26:3-4)
